Earlier this year there was some news released about an upcoming movie that will join The Conjuring saga and fans were shocked when they realized the title…
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. Although back then there was no further information shared about the movie, the name was making a reference on one of the most famous cases in the history of demonic possessions in the world.
“Diabolical forces are formidable. These forces are eternal, and they exist today. The fairy tale is true. The devil exists. God exists. And for us, as people, our very destiny hinges upon which one we elect to follow.” – Ed Warren
Brief back story
The real event behind «The Devil Made Me Do It» tells the story of one of The Warren’s case with a kid named David Glatzel, who was possessed with a strong and evil entity. The Warrens along with other priests performed a series of exorcism on the kid and during one of these sessions, David’s sister fiancé was present: Arne Cheyenne Johnson.
Arne C. Johnson filled with anger challenged the demons, telling them they were cowards, unable to stand up to him. After a while, Arne’s character began to change dramatically, and he began to have the same symptoms as David, claiming he would see a strange man.
Not long after these symptoms, Arne Cheyenne Johnson displayed unexpectedly weird and aggressive behavior, ending up on him killing his landlord. After spending five years in jail, Arne claims that he did not act under his own but was influenced by an evil entity: the devil made me do it.
Info about The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
For starters, a new director has been welcomed aboard: Michael Chaves the mastermind behind the movie The Curse of La Llorona, and the story will be written by David Leslie Johnson, who helped co-write The Conjuring 2 along with James Wan and the Hayes brothers.
