In the year 1796, the construction of The Myrtles plantation was just beginning and up to date, it is considered one of the most famous haunted areas in the world. It is located in St. Francisville, Louisiana and its spooky backstory states that the house was built just above an Indian cemetery.
Rumors say that more than 10 ghosts inhabit this place. What kind of dark events might have happened, in order for this place to become the home of so many souls?
Ghosts in The Myrtles Plantation
Chloe is the most famous ghost haunting the area. She was a slave who had to live all the worst of the plantation, her sorrowing soul still roams around. Some people have even captured her ghostly figure in photographs back in 1992.
Another soul that remains present in the Myrtles Plantation is the spirit of a girl known as: “The ghost girl”.
There is no information about her life before she passed away but for some reason, her soul didn’t get its promised rest, so her spirit keeps haunting the surroundings. She was captured in a photograph, which after an investigation, turned out to be a genuine image.
Mistery tours
There are endless ghost stories about the Myrtles Plantation, which you can listen to in one of their daily tours offered.
“Our Daily Mystery Tours are offered 7 days a week from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM on the hour and half hour. The tour focuses on the History, Mystery, and Intrigue of the plantation and is about 45 minutes. $15 for adults $12 for children 12 and under (tax included).” – The Myrtles Plantation.
If you are brave enough, you can also join a night tours which are held on Fridays and Saturdays, at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 PM; And if you are interested in a more personal tour, you can take a private tour any day of the week.

Although this place is haunted by plenty of ghosts, the plantation is still a perfect place to spend the night in case you are looking for a paranormal experience or simply because you want to have a haunting relaxation moment. There are 18 rooms offered and prices vary from $175 to $400, for 2-6 people.
