Commonly known as The Whisper Estate, this Victorian mansion can be found in Mitchell, Indiana and it has been given its nickname because people believe that it is the most haunted house in all USA.
This beautiful architecture piece has been around since the 1890s and surprisingly for a 130-year-old house it remains in great condition.
Whispers Estate is a place “where the walls really do talk”
People have said that the walls of this house «talk» making a reference to the multiple ghosts and spirits appear to haunt the house. Those who have stayed or visited the house, have said that it even feels like ghosts are continuously whispering in their ears, giving the feeling like the whole house was stalking them.
Despite the fact that it is highly haunted, the Whispers Estate remains a popular place, and it has even been featured in numerous tv shows, documentaries and so on: When the Walls Talk: The Whispers Estate Documentary,America’s Spookiest Homes and “Children of the Grave” amongst others.
Dr. John and Jessie Gibbons bought this house in the 1890s, the couple then had adopted a couple of children who, unfortunately, passed away in some inexplicable and horrible ways.
Their first kid that passed away was Rachael, a 10-year-old girl. She started a fire in the front parlor, leaving her with severe burning injuries. Rachel was able to survive for two more days after the accident.
The next infant the Gibbons lost was a little girl, a 10-month infant called Elizabeth. She died in the master bedroom from reasons that still remain unknown and finally, Jessie, whos had to deal with double-pneumonia at a young ager, passing away in the same bedroom as her sister Elizabeth.
Today, the ghosts of these children run around the house…
Some guests that had stayed at the master bedroom, said that they were unable to get some sleep since there was an unpleasant feeling on their chest as if there was someone sitting on top of them, suffocating them.
Guests also report some strange paranormal activity within a closet. The closet door would jiggle nonstop and the closet door will pop open. In extreme cases, this has even happened about 5 times within a couple of minutes and believe it or not, this is just a small paranormal phenomenon since this house has plenty of ghost stories to offer.
in addition, the house hides a portal or vortex: it runs up through the house from the front parlor into the attic. “Guests that are brave enough to sleep in the attic room report horrible nightmares and sometimes hear something trying to get in the room via the door.”
The price that has been announced to the public is $130,000! The Whisper Estate has plenty to offer such as an area of 3,700 square foot, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and also original wood floors throughout most of the home.
